Yes, let’s remove the Ten Commandments from the Oklahoma State Capitol because it’s just so utterly offensive, distracting, and marches helpless pedestrians directly into the dungeons of Christian subjugation. The truth is our laws, business ethics, and cultural norms were founded upon the ideological bastion of Judeo-Christian values. This is not wishful thinking, Right Wing propaganda, or Christian folklore, but a salient truth that is symbiotic within all of Western Civilization. Naturally the same critics who are so outraged and oppressed by a piece of etched stone – its transcendent wisdom that pertains to both the religious and secular world – have absolutely no qualms with an anti-Semitic Muslim Cleric giving a prayer before Congress or a Mosque being built upon the ashes of the near 3,000 Americans slaughtered at the hands of those same Islamic hypocrites wishing to commemorate a “great victory”. Apparently the public display of indoctrinated hate, that which threatens the rights of all of humanity, is an acceptable form of religious liberty.
This progressive tidal wave of political correctness that seeks to purge any and all religious influence from our culture is not only woefully ignorant; it’s historically a self-destructive device of so-called progressive thought. Frederick Nietzsche himself, a known atheist and the father of Nihilism, admitted that once God and any fear of lasting judgment was removed from the discerning brow of man, the moral teachings tied to the salvation of the soul, mankind would descend into darkness and succumb to its own impulsive desires and unbridled hate; i.e., human nature. If reminding people not to commit murder, steal, or bare false witness against their neighbor is so despicably Christian and unbearably radical to our founding creed – the fundamental cogs of any enduring, civilized society – then what moral relevance or intolerable epithets are secularists attaching to gay bondage parades, Communism, race riots, pedophilia, ISIS, Sharia Law, Hollywood, drug abuse, or the over 8,000 black Americans murdered annually by their own brethren? When morality and tolerance are sacrificed to erect a national platform of irreverence, God is the first intangible threat to be hung by the last vestiges of common sense.
