Although I’m admittedly not a New England Patriots fan, I find it completely obnoxious that reporters – most notably pseudo sports networks like ESPN – are harassing Tom Brady over his friendship with Donald Trump. Forgive my constitutional acumen but no American citizen, renowned athlete or not, is required to validate their personal acquaintances or justify their political beliefs simply because someone vehemently disagrees with said choices. This is not Red China or Nazi Germany where citizens must surrender their liberties, explain their every action or liquidate every aspect of their private life so it can be judged under a microscope of mass conformity. If Hillary had won the presidency and Democrats retained the White House, the silence from these liberal sycophants would be deafening; and all despite being ever cognizant of the fact the Clintons are drowning in a cesspool of scandal, deception and bigoted remarks. If I may, have any black athletes ever been hounded by journalists for publicly supporting or befriending Barack Hussein Obama; an undeniable anti-Semite, both in tone and action? Likewise, did the same “principled”, unbiased press ever demand a explanation from Obama justifying his countless radical associates, let alone every time he praised the murderous legacies of Islam or Castro? No? Not once? How convenient and how utterly expected. If Colin Kaepernick can kneel during the national anthem to the thunderous applause of “progressive” networks invoking his unalienable right to free speech, certainly Tom Brady doesn’t need to ask permission for refusing to publicize his?
Just because the “activist” media now “fakes” the news and keeps half of America within a progressive bubble of spoon-fed paranoia…i.e., Donald Trump is Hitler, an aspiring slave owner, and a serial rapist…doesn’t require the rationale free world to cater to their sanctimonious insecurities or change their adult diapers in times of psychological distress. Unless playing a game is now the equivalent of running for office, there is a distinct difference between public domain and civil harassment. The truth is, other than providing for his family, paying taxes and honoring the contract he signed to play football, Tom Brady doesn’t owe anyone a damn thing…especially the ‘noble thought’ police at E’SS’PN. And if that singular concept is too difficult to understand, well, congratulations on finally discovering the sole source of your pungent hypocrisy. Try not to sit in one place for too long and consider the channel changed.
